Every school year brings its own stress for families, new supplies, new schedules, new expenses. This August, Foundations To Success was glad to show up in the community and help lighten that load.
At Lamar's Church, our team joined the "Preparing Kids for a Brighter Future" Back-to-School Community Event, where families enjoyed free haircuts, school clothes, games, and giveaways, a day built around making the start of the school year a little easier and a lot more fun.
Later in the month, we supported Get Out Prevails' 6th Annual Back 2 School Celebration in Newport News, which provided free, age-appropriate school bags to local students in a fun, supportive community setting.
Moments like these are exactly why FTS shows up at community events across Hampton Roads, not just to talk about mental health and family support, but to be present for the everyday things that make a real difference. Thank you to everyone who helped make both events possible.
